Ft Lewis or No Ft Lewis?
This sign is located just south of Tacoma Washington on Interstate 5. My first reaction to seeing this sign was, "Fort Lewis or No Fort Lewis? Well, which is it then?"
All of my friends get a big kick out of this sign. We all comment about it in conversation and certainly when we drive by it. It is one of our favorite roadway signs. I am not really sure what the answer to the question is, but it seems funny that a freeway exit that leads to a rather large US Army base would give you the choice of whether or not you wanted to go there. Sometimes Army logic escapes me, which is why we have oxymorons such as Army Intelligence.
